I wish they would record this song again.
You will only find it on the "Let's just praise the Lord" Album by the Gaithers - I have searched far and wide for a recording.
We had a pastor and his wife (friends who later moved to Minnesota) who sang it at my Dad's funeral in 1988.g
I truly hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes for putting this up here and will gladly take it down, but I feel that such a beautiful song should be shared.
Parade of Miracles
Gloria Gaither
CHORUS
There' a long parade of miracles
And it's led by a wonderful King
Oh, I'm so glad that I'm one of those miracles
A miracle of Jesus our King.
Verse 1:
One day as I looked round me All I had and all I'd been
Lay around in dust and ashes my life a shattered dream
Then I saw a Stranger passing, but He was nothing to me
Till I heard His voice inviting and His touch made me free.
Verse 2:
I can see little children who are crippled no more
A miracle called Jesus walked through the nursery door
Little faces that were twisted now smiles all a - glow
They've joined the parade of miracles all perfect and whole.
Verse 3:
See them lying by the wayside, bodies twisted and torn
Any hope for something better for them long since has gone.
And glassy eyes turned toward the shadow of the Stranger
passing by His touch transforms the broken by a power from on high.
It is suggested to sing the chorus to start the song and then insert the chorus between verses as needed. It is also recommended to end the song with the Chorus in a different key. Perhaps transposed to G or Ab
