I played on my Spanish guitar

Hello!
I am trying to find a recording or lyrics to a song my dad used to sing and tickle us kids in the 60’s. He’d pretend our ribs were a guitar and he’d strum us as he sang, “string a ling ling ling ling fa la la lay, I played on my Spanish guitar.” My guess is this song is from a cowboy western from the 30’s but it could be two or three decades either side of that.
