"15A Holy Street" lyrics - BILL PRITCHARD

BILL PRITCHARD
"15A Holy Street"
(Tim Bradshaw / Bill Pritchard)

You walked into electric candle light
Your clothes were faded but your eyes still bright
It turned from dusty evening to an eyeglow night
I lost my keys but regained my sight

15 A Holy Street
Painting clouds a delicious heat
15 A Holy Street
In the rain

I slipped out for a moment but it didn't last
I dipped my toes in someone else's past
I walked over a bridge of covered dwellings
Was greeted with feeling of 23 summers

The roads were gleaming the graffiti still wet
A life consumed by people she'd met
Your thoughts were more formed though your actions unsure
You still drink from coloured bottles but your eyes are still pure

I have never felt a feeling like that
On a bamboo terrace in an Erfuhrt flat
Hey Max and hey Martin
I think I've been struck by that same bolt of lightning
