"The Vampire From New York" lyrics - BILL PRITCHARD

BILL PRITCHARD
"The Vampire From New York"
(Tim Bradshaw / Bill Pritchard)

With jokes an acquired taste a self-confessed ageing juvenile
Her life is lush and when she dreams it's like a film by William Castle

Oh she's the vampire of New York
But she never has to worry she just hops on the bus and makes for the city

Shared a block with a priest
Dressed in black and a chain
That he threatened not to take off again

Took walks with a pram and a shabby young man
Made a date with that priest in Birmingham

She still looks great vamps and shimmers
About the years have really suited you
And looking back like we all do
I was last in a very short queue
